Transferring your solar service isn’t all that different than transferring any utility service, in that upon completion of the home sale, the new homeowner is responsible for payments.

When transferring your service plan*, a potential homebuyer must pass a credit check to verify they are able to make regular monthly payments for the remainder of the original 25-year solar service agreement. It’s the exact same process that every new Sunnova customer goes through.

Once the sale of the home has closed successfully, the transfer agreement goes into effect and the buyer is officially a Sunnova solar service customer. This means that the buyer will receive all related benefits, including warranty, maintenance and performance guarantee.

*The EZ Own service plan can be transferred to the new homeowner at Sunnova’s discretion. Some restrictions apply.
