MySunnova Research Study

Sunnova is conducting one-on-one research sessions with customers to gather feedback on the MySunnova mobile app experience. During the session, you will be asked questions about the app, its features, and interactions with solar equipment data. A select number of participants are needed for each study, and you are required to register for the study by following the prompts in MySunnova.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When will I be called to do the study?

If you’ve already scheduled a time, you should have received an email or calendar invite with the time and date you selected. At your scheduled date and time, use the link provided in the email to join the session.

2. Will the session be recorded?

Yes, participants will be asked to give consent before recording starts. Recordings are for internal use only and help our researchers take notes. This recording will not be used for any promotional purposes.

3. Can I do the session remotely?

Yes, all research sessions are currently being done remotely. If you are interested in participating, we require that you be on camera and a strong internet connection throughout the research session.

4. Am I eligible to receive a reward card for participating in the study?

A Visa® Reward Card will be issued to each participant who attends and completes the full research session.

5. When will I receive the reward card?

The reward card will be mailed to you within 8 weeks after you have completed your research session.

6. What type of questions will you be asking?

Our research team is constantly conducting a variety of research studies to make sure we understand and hear from our customers about their needs, problems, and ways to improve the experience of our products and services. The questions and topics they focus on and ask will depend on what features, problems, or experiences they are currently working on.

7. Do I have to be on camera?

Yes, in most situations our researchers will ask that you have your camera on throughout the session. This helps conduct the research as visuals will be part of the session both from the interviewee and interviewer.

8. Can I do this interview with my phone?

We have found that we have the most success when the participant joins with a desktop or laptop with a strong internet connection. A mobile phone may be used during the research session.

9. I reserved a time but now need to reschedule. Can I reschedule?

To reschedule, go back to the email confirmation you received and following the links provided to find out if another open time is available. It is not guaranteed that there will be other times available for the current study.

10. I am unable to attend and I need to cancel my booked time. How do I cancel?

You can cancel at any time by going back to the email confirmation you received and following the links provided. Be aware that if you choose to cancel your session, you are no longer eligible for the reward card.

11. I went to schedule but there were no more time slots available. Can I still participate?

Thanks for your interest, we have a lot of responses for these research opportunities and limited timeslots available. Unfortunately, if you are not seeing any timeslots, then that research study is already full. Be on the lookout for future opportunities, we are constantly conducting a variety of research studies to make sure we understand and hear from our customers about their needs, problems, and ways to improve the experience of our products and services.

12. I saw a banner on MySunnova.com about research but now it’s gone, what was that?

From time to time, we do customer research on new features or products that Sunnova offers. The banner you saw in MySunnova is a way for customers to sign up for these research studies if they are interested in participating. Once we have enough participants signed up, we will take the banner down. There will be more opportunities to participate if you didn’t get your chance this time, so just be on the lookout for the banner in the future.
